- Chelsea transfer news and rumours: Luiz Gustavo keen on £33 million Blues move
Wolfsburg midfielder Luiz Gustavo has admitted that he would love to make a switch to one of Europe's elite sides, with Chelsea a potential destination. According to London 24, the Brazilian holding midfielder, who has a £33 million release clause written into his contract with the German Cup winners, is happy with Die Wolfe, but still dreams of a big move. Manchester United have also been linked with a move for him. Gustavo was asked whether he would be keen on a move to an elite side like Chelsea, Manchester United, Barcelona, Real Madrid or former club Bayern Munich, to which he responded: "If I were to be able to once again have the chance to go to such a club, then that would be like a gift to me. However, I also know what I have at VfL. I am incredibly happy here."The Telegraph reports that it might, however, be difficult to convince the 27-year-old stopper that deputising for first choice Thibaut Courtois is in his interest. Begovic will be offered a significant increase on his current wage to join the Stamford Bridge club, but overseas clubs who can offer Begovic first team football might pip them to his signature. Cech has been consistently linked with Arsenal, but has also emerged as a surprise target for Manchester United, who may have to replace David de Gea. The Blues do, however, seem set to snap up a first signing of the summer window. Swedish defensive talent Joseph Colley is on the cusp of a move to Stamford Bridge, according to Get West London. Colley, 16, currently plays for Brommapojkarna, but will make the move on July 1. The deal has apparently been in the works since December 2013, but Chelsea were keen for him to continue his development in Stockholm. Colley's Brommapojkarna team-mates were told about the move earlier this week ahead of his move to the Chelsea Academy. The Swedish starlet can play at right-back, centre-back or as a holding midfielder.
